The biggest news is that I won. Really, I finally won something and that something is a book about menopause. It was a giveaway on Jody's blog. Now I am going to be an expert on menopause and maybe will finally find a way to deal with my roller coaster emotions. Oh, boy, do I does my family need that book!
I am pretty good about getting some exercise done every day as long as it is not at home. I have to get out of the house to get moving, even if it is going to a gym to do what I could easily do at home. So I have PX90, a whole set of wonderful DVD's that I like but do I do them? Nope. I have a rowing machine and I like rowing, but how often do I use it? Once in a while, I mean a big while. I have free weights. I have stairs I could run. I have a yoga mat, stretchy bands, medicine ball, stability ball... gee, I could open my own gym here. Still, unless I leave the house, I won't exercise. What's wrong with me?

So yesterday, after my pathetic attempt to fool my Achilles tendon by running on a treadmill, I decided to do PX90 at home. So it happened that yesterday Kenneth had no classes and we did all homeschool work at home. One would think that would make it easier for me, right? Nope. It took me forever to finally move my butt to do the workout. There is one DVD out of the entire set I have not touched yet, stretching. Well, I did it now and I learned that I am stiff as a board. My pitiful stretches after my runs are just that, pitiful stretches. I thought that since I can touch my toes without bending my knees I am flexible. Not!
How often do you guys do your stretching routines? You all have stretching routines, right? I am sure I am the only one who doesn't right?
Today I am limping again. So here is my resolution. No running for a week. I promise, cross my heart and so on. I will NOT try to run till next weekend even though I know I will be miserable and my family will suffer all the consequences. I will pamper my Achilles friend and if in a week it still bothers me than I will threaten it with a doctor or a physical therapist or somebody with more authority.
So after all that complaining that I do not do any workouts at home I did rowing. I was hoping to kill time by watching the new episode of Doctor Who but it seems that BBC took all eleventh Doctor episodes off YouTube. How could they? I guess I will have to wait. That's what I get for getting rid of our TV.
